Process automation & digitalization

set out into digitalization

It is not uncommon for the journey into digitization to become an odyssey because the processes on board the company are not efficiently organized. A fragmented system landscape leads to media breaks, manual work steps and inefficient processes. To change this, we rely on successive optimization and efficient automation of processes.

Process automation with a Business Process Management (BPM) engine is one of the recommended solutions – but Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a bridging technology to make this possible quickly. BPM for the integration/orchestration of microservices. RPA for existing landscape of legacy systems, often ERP systems, which are expensive and time-consuming to integrate into optimized processes.

our solution

Process automation and digitization supports companies in the implementation of automated or digitized value chains (BPM). They become more reliable, more transparent, faster and reduce costs.
By using RPA, so-called “software bots” serve existing applications like a human user. In this way, a flexible migration path to complete process integration can be realized.
The combination of process automation on a large scale with BPM and on a small scale (RPA) enables tailor-made solutions with lower proneness to errors, increased transparency, higher evaluability as well as increased efficiency through process automation / digitization and focusing of resources on value-adding activities.

partners and products

We are Camunda Certified Partner. Camunda BPM is a lightweight open source platform for business process management. It is perfectly suited for the typical software development with Java or similar and offers a special business-IT alignment based on modern standards like BPMN for structured workflows, CMMN for unstructured activities and DMN for business rules.

UiPath is one of the leading Enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) platforms for business and IT.

frequently asked questions

What is BPMN?
Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is a modelling language to graphically represent business processes/workflows in process management. It is currently the best known and most common modeling language for process documentation and digitalization. The biggest advantage of BPMN is, besides the technical comprehensibility, the possibility to execute/automate processes by so-called Business Process Engines (BPE).

What is Camunda?
Camunda is a Berlin-based software company that was founded in 2008. Since then, the company has focused on the topic of process automation and has been significantly involved in the development of the BPMN and DMN standards. Camunda BPM is an open source platform for workflow/ process- and rule automation.

What’s Zeebe?
Zeebe is a workflow engine for the orchestration of microservices. This workflow engine from Camunda is one of the first that can be operated natively in the cloud. This makes it ideal for combining with other cloud native components such as Kubernetes, Apache Kafka, Elasticsearch, etc.

What is Camunda Cloud?
Camunda offers a cloud service based on the workflow engine Zeebe. This service is called Camunda Cloud and represents a new type of BPMN workflow engine that supports true horizontal scalability. The  Camunda Cloud runs on Google Cloud.

What is t.BPM?
Tangible Business Process Modeling (t.BPM) is a modeling methodology that enables the development of tangible, comprehensible models in a workshop. The methodology is based on a t.BPM toolbox and the actual t.BPM Workshop implementation methodology.

What is DMN?
Decision Model and Notation (DMN) is a modelling language to represent rules or decisions. It is currently the best known and most widespread modeling language for rule documentation and digitalization. The biggest advantage of DMN is, besides the technical comprehensibility, the possibility to have rules executed by so-called Business Rules Engines (BRE).
