The initial purchase of the license entitles you to unlimited use of the software and includes a 12-month support period from the date of purchase. To protect your data, we recommend the regular renewal of this support service and offer it for 12 or 24 months.
What are Apps in the Atlassian environment?
Apps are complementary application features that you (or your administrator) can install in your Atlassian product to change the functionality according to your needs. Apps can also be standalone web applications that integrate with Atlassian Cloud instances. You can activate, deactivate, install and uninstall apps at any time from the administration pages of your Atlassian product.
What is the Atlassian Marketplace?
On the marketplace, apps are sold and partly offered for free, which were written by Atlassian as well as by third-party developers. You can even write apps yourself.
What does Data Center mean?
Data Center is a deployment option that provides high availability and performance for your mission-critical Atlassian applications. The data center option is available for Jira Software, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jira Service Desk and Crowd.
hat is the Cloud Option?
With the Cloud, Atlassian offers a delivery option where you can purchase the products as Software-as-a-Service.

What is the support period?
The initial purchase of the license entitles you to unlimited use of the software and includes a 12-month support period from the date of purchase. To protect your data, we recommend the regular renewal of this support service and offer it for either 12 or 24 months. The costs of the initial purchase thus consist of the license and the support. In the following years, the license costs will be waived, so that for the support extension costs of 50% of a new purchase can be expected.
