The magazine Focus Business and the rating platform kununu rank it-economics among the best medium-sized employers for the third time in a row.

Companies are competing fiercely for qualified employees, especially in STEM professions. When looking for a suitable employer, the working atmosphere, work-life balance, opportunities for further development, and flexible working hours are of great importance to the employees. Our company is proud to announce that Focus Business and kununu have once again placed us among the “Top Employers for medium-sized companies”. Ratings from more than 900,000 companies were evaluated.

Transparency, participation, and further development as cornerstones of the corporate culture

At it-economics, it has long been important for colleagues to be able to contribute to the company and to be appreciated. “The kununu score of 4.4 gives us confidence that we are doing great. 90% of our employees recommend us as an employer – which makes us very happy. Our handling of the pandemic and the new culture compass is also very positively rated by our team. This was introduced in mid-2020 as an additional measurement tool on kununu. It is evaluated in the four dimensions of “work-life balance,” “interaction,” “leadership,” and “strategic direction”. We are very proud to be able to say that we are well above the industry average here.
Particularly in the new situation during the Corona pandemic, it was important to us that the feel-good atmosphere keeps being maintained even in the home office. Therefore, we have revised our processes in line with the New Work criteria and added new standards such as more flexible and improved overtime regulations as well as a hybrid working model and an adapted vacation model. Due to the ongoing remote situation, health-related issues remain in focus. In addition, all our training courses can now be booked in online formats. Flexible working hours and mobile working, as well as the provision of up-to-date hardware, has long been a priority,” says Petra Ozimek-Zimmermann, CHRO at it-economics.

About the survey system

For the evaluation of the “Top Employer SMEs 2021”, Focus Business and kununu analyzed more than 900,000 companies with a profile on the employer rating portal kununu. Companies from Germany made it onto the list with a rating average of at least 3.5 out of 5 points and at least ten ratings, five of which should have been given since 2019 and should have a recommendation rate of at least 70 percent. In addition to that, only medium-sized and small companies (SMEs) with 11 to 500 employees were considered.
